Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKEITH ANDREW RAMCHANDAR It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our son and kid-brother, Keith Ramchandar, on May 26, 2017, in Vancouver. Keith was truly a free spirit. Born in Kenora on December 3, 1980, Keith was an exciting addition to his family. He immediately took to any and all outdoor activities. An avid member of the Scouts of Canada, he grew to love hiking, fishing and camping year-round. Known for his aggressive "GT-ing" as a youngster, he developed into an accomplished downhill skier in his teenage and early adult years. He moved to Winnipeg as an adult and throughout his time in Kenora and Winnipeg, he "never missed a Folk Fest." Keith talked for many years about "heading west" until doing so just four years ago. While in Vancouver, he had enjoyed guiding tours for the Rocky Mountaineer, serving guests at the Pan Pacific Hotel and has especially enjoyed explaining the history of the area to passengers on the Harbour Cruise Indian Arm Tour. In the last few years, Keith really did find his free spirit again, spending a winter in Bahamas, travelling to Peru and seeing Machu Picchu, partaking in his first bungee jump and just this past March finally making it out to Whistler to ski with his siblings and nephews. His nephews, in particular, enjoyed sharing their common skiing talents with Uncle Keith. Keith is survived by his father Rudy (Audrey), his sisters, Lorraine and Lorna (Sean Malone), brother Kevin (Kristi), nephews, Luke and Drew, nieces, Roisin, Maeve and Kiana, and his cat Mittens. He is predeceased by his mother, Janet. A celebration of his life will be held in Vancouver on Wednesday, June 7 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Pan Pacific Hotel. All are welcome. A future memorial will be held for Keith's eastern friends and family in Winnipeg on July 8 at a place to be determined. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to David Suzuki Foundation or the Greater Vancouver Foodbank Society.

I remember Keith as a young boy when he and his family lived next door to us in Kenora. I remember his big smile and fun-loving spirit. He would come over to visit our cottage with his dog, Sneakers. I am saddened to read of his all-too-soon death at such a young age. My thoughts and those of my family go out to Rudy and Keith's siblings who I also remember. Please know we think of you and would be pleased to hear from any of you or see you again. Be gentle with yourselves. - Posted by: Manning W. Hobday (former neighbour) on: Jun 19, 2017

We remember Keith as a cheerful boy who loved to have snacks, who went camping with our son Jay, and who was a good friend for Jay. Very sorry to hear of his passing - much much too young. Condolences to the family. - Posted by: judy and ned martin (friends) on: Jun 16, 2017
