JOYCE PAULINE GALLAHER (nee WILL) Sadly, on Friday, June 2, 2017, at the age of 85 years, our mother passed away peacefully at Oakview Extendicare Nursing Home. Left to mourn Joyce's passing are her children, Christine Collins (Ken), Susan Bennett (Bob), Jim (Anna) and Bill (Laura); seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings Helen Compayre and Gerry Will (Lois), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years, Robert (Bob); parents Jim and Gwen Will, and sisters Dorothy Will, Janette Corby and Gail Will. Mom was born and raised in Winnipeg, spending most of her life in St. James. She was a loving, caring wife, mother, sister and friend with a great sense of humour. She always put family first. Mom worked for a number of years at Eaton's downtown, and we always looked forward to the treats she would bring home on Saturdays when she stopped off at the candy counter on her way home. Our family always enjoyed annual camping vacations and in later years, Mom and Dad discovered Hawaii which they visited often. It held a special place in their hearts. In compliance with Mom's wishes, a private family service will be held at a later date. Her final resting place will be with our father in Chapel Lawn. We would like to give special thanks to the nursing staff and caregivers at Oakview for the care they provided Mom, and the compassion and respect they showed her.
