Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANDREW ADAMYK June 21, 1922 - June 4, 2017 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Andrew Adamyk, at Tuxedo Villa, on June 4, 2017, at the age of 94. Andrew is survived by his loving wife, Beatrice, of 71 years; children, Carol (Dan) Stanski, Myril (Sandra) Adamyk and Marvel (David) Scott; grandchildren, Craig Stanski, Devin (Stacey) Stanski, Lisa (Blaine) Parnell, Kristy (Clarence) Vigilance, Jesse (Holly) Adamyk and Carmen Scott, and 10 great-grandchildren. Andrew was born and raised in Elk Ranch, Manitoba where he enjoyed farming for many years. He provided a bulk fuel service to many in the communities of Elk Ranch and Mountain Road and still found time to drive the school bus. In 1974 he moved to Winnipeg to be closer to his children. Here he worked for Manitoba Regional Housing until his retirement in 1987. With a passion for horses and time on his hands, he found himself drawn to Assiniboia Downs race track where he enjoyed drinking coffee and socializing with fellow horse lovers. Andrew's greatest love was his family and he felt a great source of pride in all their accomplishments. Nothing brought him more pleasure than family gatherings. He will lovingly be remembered and sadly missed. The family wishes to extend special thanks to all who cared for him during these last few months. To honour Dad's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
