HENRIETTA LENORA EDWARDS (nee FORREST) Henrietta Lenora (Nonie) Edwards, of Niverville, Manitoba, passed away peacefully at the De Salaberry District Health Centre, on June 3, 2017 at the age of 95 years. Nonie was predeceased by her first husband Donald Alexander Wallace, second husband Charles Arthur Edwards, daughter Beryl Wallace, parents Simon and Jean Forrest, brothers Sam, Bill, John and Bob Forrest, and sisters Mary Israel, Nancy McVicar and Margaret Bartley. She is survived by her twin sister, Edith Baldwin. Nonie was loved and will be deeply missed by her children Sandy (Yvette) Wallace, Les (Mona) Wallace, Myra (Bryan) Kehler, Mina (Mitchell Sain) Wallace, Charlie (Lorraine) Edwards and Bonnie (Rob) Lapka. She cherished her 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Nonie was born on May 10, 1922 near Niverville, Manitoba. Nonie married Donald Wallace on October 30, 1948 and had five children. Donald passed away on March 1, 1960, and Nonie married Chuck Edwards on April 5, 1961. They had two children. Chuck and Nonie operated a mixed farm near Niverville until 1987. Nonie worked at the Niverville Hatchery for many years and balanced her time raising her family and supporting the Niverville United Church and community. She enjoyed dancing, singing, visiting family and friends, playing cards and attending family hockey games. We extend our gratitude to the staff of the De Salaberry District Health Centre who ensured Nonie's comfort until the end. Thank you also to the Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, for their services. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on June 16, 2017 at Niverville United Church, 55 - 1st Street North, with a reception to follow at the Golden Friendship Centre, 118 - 2nd Avenue South.
