ANNETTE STUBBERT On June 9, 2017, Anita Annette Stubbert passed away with her loving family by her side. Left to cherish her memory is her husband David; daughter Jennifer (Chris) Couture (Edmonton); sons, David (Jen) (Winnipeg), Robert (Winnipeg) and Rodney (Edmonton), and sisters, Beatrice (Winnipeg) and Rita (Hudson Bay, SK). Annette was predeceased by her parents, John and Katherine, brothers and sisters, Christine, Stella, Doris, John, Ernie, Fabian, Adlor, Audrey, Mary, and Raymond. Annette was the youngest of 13 children born to John and Katherine (nee McKay) Chartrand on April 12, 1956. Annette's pride and joy were her grandchildren who she loved and cherished. She was known as Nana to David, Jania, Sidney, Kymberlee, Mattel, London, Hannah, Griffin, Corey, Brady, and Mark. Annette was a great cook, she loved preparing family meals for events like Christmas, New Years, Easter, etc. and would always welcome her sons and their families for a Sunday meal consisting of roasts in the winter and BBQ in the summer. She was outgoing and loved life. The honesty and sincerity she showed was genuine and she would help and give the shirt off her back to a friend in need. Annette loved to entertain and would always welcome visitors over, taking great pride in ensuring they were comfortable, and making them feel welcome and at home, even Dave's hockey buddies late at night. Annette's true love was her family. She would constantly talk about her husband, children, and grandchildren to anybody who would listen, whether they wanted to or not. She would proudly display a picture of each and every one of them, which she kept close to her heart at all times. The family would like to thank all for the support extended to our family; your kindness has overwhelmed us. A special thank you to Diane, Maureen, Deanna, and Elaine. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
