I am so sorry to hear of Tony's passing. I was out of the country and did not know he was ill. Tony and I played squash together for over 10 years. He was a friend, a mentor and there for me when I was going through tough times. I am in shock he is no longer with us. Tony was a fierce competitor, an honorable opponent who was a great friend. I looked forward to our twice weekly games and the big hugs at the end of each match. I loved him as a brother, as he did me. I will truly miss him. - Posted by: David Beaton (Squash Partner) on: Jun 23, 2017

When I first moved to Winnipeg my family and I were embraced and loved on by Tony and his wife Heather. During that first year I remember my basement flooded and Tony and Heather invited me over for a meal when I was totally exhausted. Not only did I receive an amazing meal but so much encouragement. Tony was always an encourager who lifted you up with his words and his actions. Tony was someone who lived his Faith in God and he will be missed. Tony "loved the Lord his God with all his heart and with all his soul and with all his strength and with all his mind" (Luke 10:27) and he also "loved people", really loved them.
