MARLENE LANDERS August 2, 1959 - June 18, 2017 Suddenly on Sunday, June 18, 2017, Marlene passed away at Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg. She is survived by her loving husband John of 28 years, her children Ronald Kaposi (Tammy), Donald Kaposi (Krystal), Melissa Kaposi (Mike) and Peter Landers (Kristin), granddaughters Destiny and Graycen and a large extended family. She was predeceased by an infant son Luke and parents Lena and Eugene Frobisher. Marlene grew up in St. Vital and recently resided in St. James. She loved to spend time with her family and in the early years spent many weekends camping. Marlene enjoyed arts and crafts and many sleep overs with her granddaughter Destiny and was overjoyed when second granddaughter Graycen arrived in 2016. Her nights included playing cards (her nickname was 10-10) bonfires in the backyard and listening to Elvis and country music. We will miss her smile and contagious laughter, her mashed potatoes and most of all her hugs. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service, Emergency room staff at St. Boniface Hospital and MICU staff at HSC for their care and compassion shown to mom. "But we remember now in love, your life from start to end, and we're just glad we knew you, as Mother, and as Friend." -unknown A Memorial Service will be held at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 22, 2017.
