ROZALIA (ROSE) MINDA Our dear aunt Rose passed away peacefully, on Monday June 19, 2017, at the Holy Family Nursing Home, at the age of 94 years. Rose was born in the Ukraine on January 6, 1923. Aunt Rose loved to sing, dance, and was a member of the Prosvita Hall. Every Sunday after church she would spend time with her family either at her house, or at one of her brother's houses. She was predeceased by her husband Ostap; parents, Joe and Tekla Knysh; four brothers, Nick, Walter, Slawko, and Lonko; two sisters, Kay Pinkowska, and Knushka Borys; sisters-in-law, Olga Knysz, and Kay Knysh; and her dear friend, and companion Bill Samson. Aunt Rose leaves behind to cherish her memory, two nephews in Winnipeg, Joe Knysh, wife Virginia, and Rev. Deacon Walter Knysh, wife Anna; niece Lori Sacco, husband Robert, Chicago, Illinois; numerous great-nieces, and nephews, and great-great-nieces, and nephews in Winnipeg, USA, Ukraine, and abroad. Prayers will be held on Thursday June 22, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the All Saints Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1500 Day St. Funeral service will follow on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. also at the church. Interment in Holy Family Cemetery. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Holy Family Nursing Home that took great care of her.
