SYLVIA E. PAVIA (nee DUMAS) July 4, 1943 - June 19, 2017 On Monday, our beloved mom, granny, great-granny, great-great-granny and wife went to the hands of our Lord at the age of 73. She was predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Mary Dumas, sons, Darryl and Eugene, brothers, Lloyd, Alan, Felix, Omer, and sisters, Gloria, Lucille, Claudette. She is survived by her husband, Jacob and her children, Debbie (Gilles), Gerald (Elizabeth), Terry, Sylvia (Carl), Simonne (Patrick), Michael (Terry), and Marcella (Dave), numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and brother, Freddie Dumas. Mom was born in Crane River, Manitoba. She spent 39 years in Gillam, Manitoba raising her children before moving to Fort McMurray and in 2014 moved to Winnipeg to live amongst many of her family whom lived in or around Winnipeg. Mom was a beautiful woman who loved us all very dearly. Mom enjoyed life to its fullest. She loved her bingo or casino nights, plus her music, dancing and spending time with family. We would like to thank Dr. Houston and all the team at CancerCare for taking such good care of her every week. Also to the palliative care team at St. Boniface Hospital on the eighth floor for their care and compassion shown to our mom and family. The fighting spirit in her gave us almost 14 months more time with her since the diagnosis of her cancer. God saw her suffering and sent her beloved son, Darryl, who passed 26 years ago on this very same date to take her home. May she now rest in eternal peace. We will miss her very much. All-night wake service will be held Friday evening starting at 7:00 p.m. at Eternal Grace Funerals Chapel, 1111 Logan Ave. in Winnipeg. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday also at Eternal Grace Funerals Chapel. Eternal Grace Funerals 204-505-4559
