FERNIE WALLACE COURCHENE 1937 - 2017 On the morning of June 20, 2017 a truly great, loving and caring father took his last breath here on earth, with his family and friends by his side. Fernie Wallace Courchene, aged 79 years, left this earth to be with loved ones that have passed before him. Dad is now at peace with his loving wife, Helen Courchene, and leaves to cherish his memory his children, Marilyn (John), Larry (Sandra), Doreen (Nelson), Elaine (Dennis), Roland (Millie), Mike, Earl and Chris (Judie); siblings Lorna, Ephrem (Susan), Isabel, Lena, Richard (Mabel), Gilbert - deceased (Deenk); as well as 28 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, stepbrothers, sisters, and many friends. Our loving dad was brought home to his residence at 508 N. Shore Rd., June 21 at 2:00 p.m. where the wake has begun. The funeral service will be on Saturday, June 24 at 2:00 p.m. in the Saint Alexander Roman Catholic Church, with burial to follow in the parish cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Ali, nurses Tammy and Angie, along with the health care personnel for the care shown to our dad while he was in the Pine Falls Hospital. Special thanks to our uncle William who spent so much time with Dad, not only while he was in the hospital but at home every day before.; also granddaughters Trisha, Sharon, Angel and Recheal who loved spending time with their Mishoom. A huge thank you to our two brothers, Earl and Mike for taking care of Dad every day and making sure things were always done and given whatever he needed. We love and respect you so much. Pallbearers will be his sons, Larry, Roland, Mike, Earl, Chris, and grandson Tyler.
