DAVID MICHAEL ISAAC July 2, 1954 - June 17, 2017 It is with very heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of David Isaac. He leaves to mourn his loving wife, Marilyn, of 31 years, three sons no one could be prouder of, Brandon (Reagan), Chris and Steven, and two beautiful grandchildren, Addison and Lucas. Also, his loving mother Barbara, sister Julie, whom he absolutely adores (Michael), nieces, Stephanie (Wolf) and Kristen ( Kieron) who have always been more like daughters, and cousin Ron Isaac. He was predeceased by his father, Ernest and Uncle Harry. David had a love for all sports. He played golf his whole life, never using a cart! He refereed, coached, and played soccer, as well as coaching football. He was thrilled to have lead the Elmwood girls to their three soccer championships. He will be greatly missed by many who knew him. Everyone appreciated his humour, kindness, and honesty. David's family meant the whole world to him, we know that he is still watching over us. David wanted to thank all the wonderful medical staff that helped him for three and one half years while battling with cancer. A Celebration of Life will he held in David's honour on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Elmwood High School, 505 Chalmers Ave., Winnipeg, MB. Words of remembrance to take place at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba in memory of David.

Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • I worked with David for over 15 years as he was a vendor I got to know from purchasing Matador products for work. We would email and talk on the phone, and I always looked forward to his visits every few months. He would talk about his family and how he would shop while in the States for his grandkids. He is missed! Rest in Peace, my friend! - Posted by: Marie Flora (Knew from work) on: Oct 11, 2017

  • I was just speaking with Dave's son, Steven, and I remembered the time Dave taught me how to properly tuck in a dress shirt. As strange as it may seem, I will never forget that moment. He had a fantastic and unique way of imparting his wisdom and knowledge to those around him. He will be missed beyond words. My love to the Isaacs. - Posted by: Jess Kull (Family Friend) on: Jul 20, 2017

  • Me, Rob and the kids are very sorry to hear of David's passing. We were so fortunate to meet David, Marilyn and their boys through basketball and enjoyed bumping into them through out the years. David was always smiling and very friendly and easy to talk to. We wish Marilyn and family strength to get through this sad, difficult time. Sending our thoughts and prayers to all of you. Take Care. • I am very saddened by David's death, and my condolences are sent to his family. Even though I only knew him for a short time, each time I did see him, he was positive and courageous. He was fighting as hard as he could. My thoughts and prayers are with Marilyn and the rest of his family. Marilyn stood by him and fought with him. He was a special man and will be missed by all who knew him. - Posted by: Karen Dobbin (physiotherapist) on: Jun 26, 2017
