ANTHONY CHORNEYCHUK Peacefully in the early hours of Father's Day, Tony passed away with his family by his side. Tony loved his three children, Kris, Jenell and Tracey. They, along with his siblings, nieces and nephews, all hold many fond memories in their hearts. Tony was born and raised in Winnipeg and entered into heavy equipment/crane operating at an early age much like his father. Tony made friends wherever he went and those relationships were valued greatly. In his younger adult years, Tony spent his spare hours in his garage woodworking or at "his office", The Salisbury House on Main, catching up with friends, often with a kid tagging along. Tony spent his later years in Alberta where he lived and worked in different communities making good friends along the way. Dad, Tony, Uncle Tony, Big Tony, you will be greatly missed. All our love. A family and friends gathering is planned for August to celebrate his life. Please contact chorneychuk1947@outlook.com for info. A special thank you to the staff at Lamont Health Care Centre who took such good care of Dad.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • GLORIA AND ALBERT WISH TO EXTEND THEIR DEEPEST SYMPATHIES TO TONY'S FAMILY AND BROTHER AND SISTERS. GLORIA TOO REMEMBERS HER ONE AND ONLY MOTORCYCLE RIDE BEHIND TONY WHEN HE CAME TO ESTEVAN ONE DAY! SHE HAD TO TRY IT AFTER HER KIDS GAVE IT A GO. FONDLY REMEMBERED LOVE GLORIA AND ALBERT - Posted by: GLORIA AND ALBERT PETRASH (COUSINS) on: Jul 02, 2017

  • My first memory of Uncle Tony was he came to visit us in Estevan, Sask. I must have been 7 or 8 years old. I had never seen such a big man with this head of wild and curly hair! And this booming voice with a hearty laugh. He came on a big motorcycle. I never knew anyone before who had a motorcycle. He offered to take us kids for a ride. Mom said no but I begged her to let me. So behind Uncle Tony I sat. My arms barely reached around his back. I was holding on for dear life. As he drove up and down our back lane way with the muffler making a racket it was a thrill I have never forgotten. He probably was only going 10 miles and hour but I thought we were racing down the alley! A childhood memory that has stayed with me. My sincere condolences to all the family - Posted by: LESIA Lane (pronounced Lasha) daughter of Albert and Gloria Petrash of Estefan Sask (Cousin) on: Jun 30, 2017
