ANNE HART December 11, 1935 - June 28, 2017 It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Anne Hart, on June 28, 2017. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Shelley (Paul), David (Shawn) and Judith (Billy); grandchildren, Benjamin, Jackson, Justin and Jayden, as well as numerous other family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Nellie Holak; and her sisters, Mary Saltys and Olga Biegun. Anne's parents were born in the Ukraine and settled in Saskatchewan where she grew up. She moved to Winnipeg in 1956 and entered nurse training at the Misericordia Hospital. After almost two years of training she left the program, married Donald Hart and started a family in Winnipeg. Don's work moved the family across the country including Calgary, Edmonton and Toronto. Anne always held a job outside of the home - long before it was commonplace for women to do so. She found her niche working in hospital administration. She worked as an admitting clerk at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, the Foothills Hospital in Calgary and the Winnipeg General Hospital. In Toronto, she worked at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Admitting Department, working her way up from an admitting clerk to the department manager. When she retired, she returned to Winnipeg where she lived with her daughter Shelley's family for 24 years. Anne was an avid gardener who loved having her hands in the dirt. Spring always brought her great joy; planning her new gardens. Celebration of Life to be held on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at 10:00 a.m., at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue.
