MARIAN MEYER (née WISNIEWSKI) January 12, 1935 - June 30, 2017 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marian. After a lengthy battle with cancer, Marian passed peacefully on June 30, 2017 at the Grace Hospice. Marian will be lovingly remembered by her two precious daughters, Marie Bakker (Robert) and Mavis Bruce (Jeff Page); grandchildren, Briana Tighe (Michael), Amber Adair (Geoff) and Eric Bakker. Marian is also survived by her brother John Wisniewski (Anne), nephew Chris Wisniewski (Marlene), niece Susan Stasiuk (Greg) and numerous cousins. She is predeceased by her husband Henry; parents, Frank and Rose Wisniewski; grandparents, Ann and John Stefaniw; and sister-in-law Dianne Wisniewski. Marian was born and raised in Winnipeg, and loved puzzles and games, especially Scrabble. Her family was a joy to her, and she will be greatly missed. The family would like to express their thanks to CancerCare Manitoba and the staff at Riverview Health Centre and Grace Hospice for their care of our mom. As per Marian's wishes, no service will be held. Flowers are gratefully declined. If you so wish, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, Riverview Health Centre or Grace Hospice.
