Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySONIA SWARYCHEWSKI October 1, 1934 - June 30, 2017 Peacefully on Friday, June 30, 2017, Sonia Swarychewski (nee Zuk) passed away at the Souris Personal Care Home, after a lengthy illness with Alzheimer's, at the age of 82. Sonia was predeceased by husband John Swarychewski, son Orest Swarychewski, parents Michael and Mary (Dorosh) Zuk, brothers Alex, Bill, Fred, John, Nick and Peter Zuk, and sisters Anne Kibsey, Eva Grouch, Kay Kydyk and Olga Yanchuk. She will be deeply missed by her daughters Diane (Bill) and Cynthia (Trevor), grandchildren, Sherisse (Dean), Colin, Shelby and Chloe, sisters Margaret (Jim) Pestrak and Pauline Ignash, brother Greg (Irene) Zuk, sisters-in-law Margaret Swar and Olga Walashek, and many nieces and nephews. Sonia was born the second youngest of 14 children to Michael and Mary Zuk in Hamrlik, Manitoba. Together with her husband John, she devoted her life to raising their family and helping to run the family farm. Mom called herself a "Jack of all trades, master of none", but in our eyes she was a master of everything she touched whether it was cooking, baking, sewing, or learning a new craft. She would like you to know that her work here is done and it's time for her to have a well deserved rest. Vichnaya Pamyat. You will forever be in our hearts. The family would like to thank the caregivers at the Souris Personal Care Home, House of Hope and the staff at the Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority and Prairie Mountain Health Authority. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 24, 2017 at Poplarfield Community Hall, Poplarfield, MB, with a private interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honour Sonia's memory can make donations to the Arborg Personal Care Home Building Fund, c/o Town of Arborg, Box 159, Arborg, MB R0C 0A0.

Our condolences to Sonia's family, may she rest peacefully. Spent many hours at their home on Hwy.68, memories are a wonderful thing. Along with nice visits, there was always plenty to eat and drink. Even after John's passing when she moved to Arborg, she loved company and was a gracious host. Farewell friend...till we meet again. Walter.
