JOHN MONEYAS It is with great sadness that on Sunday, July 2, 2017 our father was called home; John Moneyas will join his wife, Caroline, daughter, Crystal and grandson, Brandon in their heavenly home. He leaves behind to mourn his passing his children: Christine, Ashley, Timothy, Phoebi (Jason), Gilbert and Josh (Jamie), adopted son Russell (Meliana), his grandchildren: Naomi, Ambrose, Gabriel, Marcus, Illianna, Cruz, Gideon, Twyla, Monique, Gilbert Jr., Lucas, Nina, Shishonee, Sunday, Isabelle, and Oliver, and his baby boy Angus. He also leaves behind his brothers: Charlie (Corrina), Clarence (Sandra), Ken (Tammy) and Lynn (Yvonne), and his sisters: Virginia, Vera and Ruby. He also leaves behind brothers-in-law: Paul (Velma), Patrick (Lydia), Conrad (Flora), Neal and Myles, sisters-in-law: Barbra (Bernard), Theresa (Garnet) and Merrilee (Rosic), and also numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Our dad was a hard working man, he was a fisherman for over 30 years, usually working alongside his brother-in-law Paul, brother Charlie, uncles, William John and Phillip, and his father James. He was a fire ranger with Bissett, Helitac for over 20 years. Our dad was very happy and whenever you saw him, he was usually laughing and teasing. He loved his family and was always with his grandsons and never went anywhere without Angus. He is predeceased by his parents, Dora and James, brother Herman, and sister Anna. We brought Dad home to his residence for wake services on: Tuesday, July 4, Wednesday, July 5, and Thursday, July 6. Pallbearers: Timothy, Ashley, Gilbert, Josh, Evan, Landon, David, Lynn Jr., and Denelle (Darnell). Honorary Pallbearers: Charlie, Clarence, Ken, Lynn Sr., Ambrose, Gabe, Marcus, Cruz, Gideon, Angus, Gilbert Jr., Lucas, Conrad, Paul and Rosic, goddaughter Felicia, and special nieces, Rachel and Isabelle. Interment and funeral: Sacred Heart Church, Hollow Water First Nation, on Friday, July 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m., with officiating clergy Father Malachy.
