PAUL HAWTHORN July 23, 1947 - July 6, 2017 It is with great sadness for the family of Paul Hawthorn to announce his sudden passing. Paul passed peacefully on July 6, 2017. He was predeceased by his mother, Vivian and granddaughter, Paramour. Paul will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Fay, his father, Jack and his sisters, Tracy (Les) and Wendy. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Serena (Chuck), Rhonda (Ernie), Christine (Kevin), James and Brad. He will also be missed by his eight grandchildren, Adrienne (Lee), Jeff, Elizabeth, Kurtis (Tess), Paige, Hunter, Logan and Kara. Paul was retired from the Winnipeg Free Press where he worked as a Pressman, and was also a loyal union activist for 33 years. He leaves behind countless colleagues and friends. As well, Paul was an active member of numerous car clubs over the years. He will be missed by friends, who shared his passion for the classics. Paul was selfless and giving to anyone he met. His will be missed by all that were lucky enough to know him. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 23, at the Winnipeg Beach Community Centre (32 Hamilton St.) at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to an animal rescue or shelter of your choice will be greatly appreciated.
