MARCEL OSCAR TAILLIEU December 7, 1923 - July 12, 2017 Marcel passed away peacefully at Meadowood Manor at the age of 93 with his nephew Garry at his side. Marcel grew up with his seven sisters and two brothers on the family farm in Charleswood. He and his brother Godfrey took over the farm from their father and worked it together for many years. He met and married Heather in 1943 and they raised their four children on the farm. He and Heather celebrated 70 years of marriage together. She predeceased him in 2014. He leaves to mourn his passing his children; Wendy, Wayne and Garry, his grandchildren; Wendy, Karen, Daemon (Destiny), Tim (Aime), Andrea (Jay), Tammy (Brent), Shelly and Jodi; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sisters-in-law Mary and Betty and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Heather, daughter Elaine, daughter-in-law Lynda, son-in-law Barry, parents Edmond and Maria and his nine siblings. After retiring from farming Marcel enjoyed travelling with his wife, and in later years visiting and outings with family especially with his great-grandchildren. He enjoyed going to bingo with his daughters, watching the "Jays" and listening to country music. Dad was a quiet spoken, gentle man and will be greatly missed by all that loved him. We wish to thank the staff of Meadowood manor for the care and compassion shown to Marcel in his final years and his nephew Garry who always made Dad smile.
