Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySARAH DOROTHY JACKSON 1921 - 2016 Dolly Jackson passed away peacefully December 5, 2016 with Punch (Bruce) and Cathy at her side. Dolly was 95. She was born in Long Coulee, Alberta to Annie and John Scott, was predeceased by brothers, Walter Scott and Jim Scott, and sisters, Hazel Shoell, Alice May Heska and Florence (Betty) Konefal. Survived by son Punch (Bruce) (Cathy), grandchildren, Carrie, Sarah and James, and nieces, Lynda Ashcroft (Gary), Robin Loiselle (Ray), Patsy Kristjanson and Norma Jean Chabauty. Dolly had worked for the Manitoba Health Services Commission, retiring after 33 years in 1986. She helped lead the implementation of Manitoba's first Pharmacare program. She was an avid gardener, fabulous cook, advocate for women's rights, a single mom, a great planner, and she was a master at creating learning experiences that had positive lifelong impacts. At Dolly's request, cremation has taken place, interment and a celebration of her life will take place at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. The family would like to thank the 5th floor staff at Poseidon Care Centre for maintaining quality of life and bringing joy and dignity to the last years of Dolly's life.
