WAYNE ANDREW PETRUSHAK
Born: Mar 09, 1956
Date of Passing: Jul 14, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWAYNE ANDREW PETRUSHAK March 9, 1956 - July 14, 2017 It is with deep and heavy sadness that we announce the passing of Wayne Andrew Petrushak, 61 years old, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, on July 14, 2017. On May 17, 1975, he married the former Donna Marie Moore in Winnipeg and on June 29, 1976, their daughter Carla was born. He was employed at General Motors Canada for nearly 30 years, before retiring. On October 20, 2007, he married Wendy Michaud. Wayne led a simple life. He preferred it that way. There were a few things he was most passionate about which were spending time with his family, (especially his granddaughter Sadie, who always brought a twinkle to his eye), his love for animals, (especially his pups Monte and Molly), his love for cars and the races, his knack for barbequing, (nothing could beat a nice big, juicy, rare steak coupled with an ice cold beer), and his remote control (the Trailer Park Boys, The Walking Dead, The Sopranos and the Sons of Anarchy were a few of his faves). In the summer he took pleasure in taking the occasional drive out to Lockport, Manitoba to grab a famous Sonia's Burger. He could always be counted on to give advice, and to help out, often putting others before himself. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Elsie (Stratichuk) Petrushak. He will be forever loved and profoundly missed by his wife Wendy, his daughter Carla (Todd) and granddaughter Sadie, his stepdaughter Kirsten (Rich), stepsons, Graeme and Brendan (Kristy), stepgrandchildren, Ray and Serena, his sister Charlene and his brother Larry, his aunt Nellie, as well as many other loving extended family. As per Wayne's final wishes, a private family interment will take place at Glen Eden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any local animal rescue. He never looked for praises He was never one to boast He just went on quietly working For the ones he loved the most. His dreams were seldom spoken His wants were very few And most of the time his worries Went unspoken too. He was there A firm foundation Through all our storms of life A sturdy hand to hold on to In times of stress and strife. A true friend we could turn to When times were good or bad One of the greatest blessings The man that we called Dad.

I worked with Wayne at GM from the time he started until his retirement. Wayne was a quiet individual but at the same time had a sense of humor that he would share while keeping a straight face. He and I would often talk about his interests for cars and boxing. I can still see his shiney black Charger parked outside of General Motors, always immaculate. Carla, I can certainly remember how proudly your Dad would talk about you over the years. My condolences to the family. - Posted by: Greg Pacholek (Co-worker) on: Jul 24, 2017

Have some fond memories of some conversations with Wayne. A mellow and thoughtful individual that has passed too early. My condolences to all his loved ones. - Posted by: Court Brooker (Acquaintance and workmate.) on: Jul 22, 2017
