Date of Passing: Jul 19, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySIEGFRIED FRITZ MANN 1934 - 2017 Peacefully on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, Siegfried Mann passed away at Oakview Place Personal Care Home at the age of 83 years. Left to survive Siegfried are daughter, Margit (Mike) and son, Volker (Gloria); grandchildren, Orysa, Caley (Jordan) and Alanna (Kevin); and great-grandchildren, Ezra, Petra, Ansel, Noah and Enoch. He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years of marriage, Hannalore. Siegfried was born in Burgesdorfshof, Germany and married Hannalore in 1956. They had two children and in 1965 moved to Canada. One of Siegfried's favourite things was spending the weekends at Camp Neustadt. He was well respected in the camp, and was always willing to help anyone who asked. He was loved by all the kids that visited the camp, and they would always come to the trailer for a visit. Siegfried's grandchildren all credit spending the summers with Opa and Oma as some of the best times of their lives. He will be sadly missed by all of those who met the gentle giant who always took time to talk with them no matter what he was doing. A Celebration of Life will be held later this summer. The family would like to thank all the staff at Oakview for their empathy and care that they gave "Mr. Mann" in his last days, much appreciated. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 200-6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. I worked with Sig for many years at Westeel. He was always willing to help with any work related issues if he could. He was a very knowledgeable person when it came to manufacturing storage tanks and welding. - Posted by: Hans Janssen (Co-worker) on: Jul 27, 2017
