STELLA MARIE OLLEVIER It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Stella on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the Health Sciences Centre. Left to lovingly remember Stella are her daughter, Linda and son, Thomas (Patricia); grandchildren, Julia Douglas and Melissa and Justin Ollevier; sisters, Jean Hudak, Doris (Don) Warwick, Thelma (Hank) Snow and Audrey (Salvatore) Lentine and by her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Marcel; grandson Christopher Ollevier; brothers, William Myers, Leo Myers and Raymond Myers and her sister Shirley MacDougall. Stella was born in Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia, the daughter of the late Harold and Laura (Mosher) Myers. She married the love of her life in 1948 and had a happy 58-year marriage. Marcel's military career took their family across Canada with stops in Suffield, Alberta, Oromocto and Fredericton, New Brunswick, and to Hemer, Germany before finally putting down roots in Winnipeg in 1966. Stella was an energetic woman who worked tirelessly in and outside her home. She took a great interest in the lives of her children and grandchildren. After working for Sears for more than 20 years, Stella enjoyed retirement to the fullest by indulging in her love of gardening, cooking, reading, walking and volunteering at Saint John XXIII Roman Catholic Church. Stella and Marcel loved to travel and had fond memories of their trips to Africa and Australia as well as frequent visits with her children and grandchildren in Ottawa and Medicine Hat. Stella was fortunate to have been healthy and independent to the end. She was able to visit her family in Nova Scotia as well as her children and grandchildren in Ottawa just two months prior to her death. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in Saint John XXIII Roman Catholic Church, 3390 Portage Avenue at Rouge Road with Rev. Fr. Robert Polz presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Wojcik's Funeral Chapels & Crematoriums, Winnipeg, 2157 Portage Avenue, 204.897.4665 www.wojciksfuneralchapel.com

Dear Linda, first of all I send you my deepest condolence. Since many years I tried to find you and your family in Canada. I still kept one envelope with your old address. Today I wanted to litter this envelope (not the many memories of you) and I said to myself, try it a last time to find her. The result was that I found the obituary of your mother and your name and that you have been in Germany, Hemer. Now I was sure that I found you. In addition to my email address please notice my postaddress: Jutta Cramer Marschhof 30 26389 Wilhelmshaven Germany If it is more comfortable to you please use my Whatsap no. 0049 174 4233422 I cross my fingers and hope you will read this mail. With lot of memories Jutta - Posted by: Jutta Schmidt (Girlfriend of Linda from Germany, Hemer) on: Apr 13, 2018

Dear dear Stella, I will always miss you. Ever since I met you when I was a wayward teenage girl in Hemer, Germany, you have been a steadying, warm and supportive influence. I will miss your lively interest in every conceivable topic, your cheerfulness and your sense of humour. Just phoning you up for a chat all the way from my home in Melbourne, Australia would light up my day. I am going to miss those chats and your lovely Christmas messages. We will all miss you. You made a difference to the lives of others and to my life. And you made a difference to the world. You will remain forever in my memory. All my love, Maggie Morgan. - Posted by: MAGGIE MORGAN (FAMILY FRIEND) on: Jul 29, 2017

Linda & Tom and families, I could not have been more shocked to hear of Stella's passing and I send you all my deepest condolences. Stella was so dear to me, Chuck, and our kids, as she was so kind to us when we were living out west. I remember her beautiful garden, her spotless house and her delicious cooking - especially those fabulous desserts - and most of all her warm hospitality. I'm so happy I saw her at Raymond's memorial recently. What a lovely surprise that was! She looked happy and well, and that is how I will remember her. Stella was a cherished aunt and I will miss her. May your precious memories sustain you at this difficult time. XO - Posted by: Helen Shields (Niece ) on: Jul 23, 2017
