BARBARA ANN HART October 20, 1941 - Victoria, British Columbia July 8, 2017 - Calgary, Alberta Barbara Hart of Calgary passed away on July 8, 2017, at the age of 75 years. Barbara Anne Hart was born October 20, 1941. She had many wonderful friends who were like family, especially Karin Eckardt, Jackie and Duane Erickson, Michelle and Richard Nadon, Lois Wright, Wanda Borley and Bess Alderson. Barbara was raised in Winnipeg, and also lived in London, Brussels, New Dehli, Bogota, and Port of Spain, Trinidad, while working for the federal government. She moved to Calgary in the early 1980s and worked for energy companies like Home Oil, Talisman and Apache. Barbara enjoyed yoga, and had been involved in the Foothills Orchid Society and the Master Gardener Volunteer Program at the Calgary Zoo. Barbara loved art and going to exhibits and getting to know the artists. She looked forward to seeing her fellow art students at her weekly painting class, and loved taking art workshops at River Rock Studio in the beautiful Ghost River area. She is survived by sisters Daphne, Jill (Don Van Cauwenberghe) and Elisa (Chris Shank), and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and her very special aunt and uncle, Agnes and Burton Kennedy. She was predeceased by her parents Dr. W. James and Jean Hart, and brother Michael.
