  • Saddened to find out today about Jim's passing. Jim was our Phys. Ed. supervisor and we always felt valued by him. Jim always created a great atmosphere whether it be at work or at play. No one with more witt than Jim! He will surely be missed. I'll always have great memories of Jim. My condolences to his familly. - Posted by: Marcel Lemoine (Colleague ) on: Aug 10, 2017

  • I will always remember Jim at our MPESA meetings as he kept us amused with all his jokes, wit, and traditions. His dedication and drive to support Physical Education in Manitoba was recognized provincially and nationally. He is a legend. - Posted by: Heather Willoughby (MPESA colleague) on: Aug 08, 2017

  • Jim was a lively contribution to afternoons on the deck at our house, many years ago when phys. ed teachers gathered to 'debrief' at the end of the week! Pre-game brunches nourished Jim and the team before they headed to Fargo for the annual baseball tournament. The Vince kids were cajoled and encouraged by Jim's sense of humour and ability to teach with passion, love and kindness! His jokes, laughter and dancing eyes were a delight added to each gathering. - Posted by: Ruth Magnuson (Friend) on: Aug 03, 2017

  • Oggie was a great person who always had time for everyone. He was very well known as a teacher, a lacrosse player and also a slo pitch player. Great memories of many years of slo pitch in Fargo and a regular at all our Lacrosse Alumni stags at the Elmwood Legion. You will be missed but always remembered. • Jim's professionalism and leadership in Physical Education in St. Boniface, was the key ingredient to develop a close group of teachers that made our careers very worthwhile and satisfying in so many ways. Jim may have left us in body but his spirit of life will remain in all of who knew him. - Posted by: Warren Cook (Profession Colleague) on: Aug 01, 2017

  • Surprised and saddened to learn of Jim's passing. Jim was an outstanding lacrosse player in his day, having been inducted into the Manitoba Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2014, and an even better person - always friendly with a welcoming smile and great sense of humour. Rest in peace Jim. - Posted by: Dave Gillis (lacrosse alumni) on: Jul 31, 2017
