CAMERON RAYMOND TODD OLSEN
Born: Apr 04, 1982
Date of Passing: Jul 21, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCAMERON RAYMOND TODD OLSEN It is with grieving hearts that we must announce the sudden passing of our son, Cameron on July 21, 2017 at his residence in Calgary, Alberta, at the age of 35. Cameron was born April 4, 1982. Cameron had a way to brighten even a darkened sky as those who knew could attest to. He loved life and everyone in it. You could not mistake that infectious boisterous laugh that we all loved! Cameron attended schooling at various schools throughout Winnipeg and graduated at Dakota High in 1999. Cam moved to Kelowna, BC in 2006 and then moved to Calgary in 2011 where he was a Technical Support and Training Manager for Clarity.ca Inc. He will be sadly missed by his mother Cindy Campbell, father Ken and other mom Irene Olsen, as well as stepbrothers, Brian and Michael Beatty (Jen, Jackson, and Calvin). He will also be missed by aunts, Cheryl Campbell, Aileen Freeman and April Schriener, and uncles Ray Campbell and Dale Hickey. Cameron was predeceased by his grandparents, Bertha and Murdoch (Birdie) Campbell, aunt Sandra, and grandmother Aileen Olsen. Cameron shared special bonds with all of his grandparents! Although Cameron has numerous cousins and nephews on both sides of his family, his cousins, Alison Magura, and Derek Campbell were like another brother and sister to him. He shared with his Dad they were "like my left and right hands", sharing many good times, family dinners, card games and water fights at Grandma and Grandpas. Cameron also shared special bonds with Kevin and Michael Magura, Alison's husband and son. Cameron made some very special close friendships along the way, too numerous to mention. We would like to thank two of his closest friends for their support during this time, Ryan Stephanko and Sean Grundy who helped us bring Cameron home. We are planning a Celebration of Life service at 2:00 p.m. on August 2, 2017 at the Glenwood Community Club, 27 Overton St., St. Vital in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Canadian Diabetes in his name.

Dear Olson Family: I am shocked and saddened to have just learned that your dear son Cam had passed away. I am so very sorry for your loss! I had the pleasure to work with Cam at Telus Business Services when he was a sales rep there. He always had a smile on his face, very happy, and had that infectious laugh. He knew I was having difficulty doing the selling thing, so he took me under his wing & helped me when I needed it. I never had a son but we always shared a joke with one another, I would call him "son" and he would call me "the parental" and we would have a good laugh at that! He will always be in my thoughts and prayers, as well as his loving family that has been left behind. Take comfort, that you will all meet again someday! - Posted by: Maureen Currie (Friend) on: Feb 07, 2018

I worked with Cameron for over 2 years. He always had such a positive outlook and a great sense of humor. Even though our work together didn't provide us with the opportunity to meet face to face, Cam and I had built a very good relationship, what I consider a friendship. I will miss Cameron greatly and will never forget how he made me laugh, even when we were working through some challenging projects. My condolences to all of Cameron's family and friends. - Posted by: Dave Markham (Business Client at ArcelorMittal Dofasco in Hamilton, Ontario) on: Aug 01, 2017

Dear Cindy & Ken There is no pain more far-reaching and deeper than losing a child. Life does not always make sense and losing someone as young and loving as Cameron is tragic. The bond you both had with Cameron cannot be broken. You will meet again. We are very sorry for your loss. Love from Elaine & George Lawson - Posted by: Elaine Lawson (cousin) on: Jul 31, 2017
