MARY GEORGINA BAYER
Born: Sep 05, 1954
Date of Passing: Jul 26, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY GEORGINA BAYER September 5, 1954 - July 26, 2017 It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our mother, sister and auntie, Mary Georgina Bayer on July 26, 2017, two months short of her 63rd birthday. Georgina completed her nursing training in the mid 1980s and worked in this field throughout her life. Georgie, as she was lovingly known, was a kind and humble soul. She experienced happiness and joy at family gatherings, her eyes sparkled and she had a hug for everyone that came through the door. You could always count on a call from her on your birthday in full song. Georgie leaves behind her precious son, Christopher Bayer and wife Trista, along with brothers Raymond and Frank Douglas (Ellen), and sisters Jean (Wayne), Loretta and Joyce (Norm). Georgie cherished her many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her partner for many years, Richard. She missed him dearly. She was predeceased by her mom and dad, Marguerite (1981) and Raymond (1987) Bayer. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Ave. Interment will follow at the Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: The Muchipunowin Bereavement Program, Norway House Cree Nation, Attn. Yvonne Apetagon, PO Box 250, Norway House, MB R0B 1B0. Norway House Funeral Home in care of arrangements. 1 204 359 4746

Sorry Raymond, Budgee - Not Squeedgee. Oldtimers is setting in with this old girl! I remember that was your family nickname! You and Georgie were so close that lots of people thought you were twins. - Posted by: Susan Harrison (Friend) on: Aug 02, 2017

So sad that I wasn't able to attend today. Georgina and I met in 1967 at #4 School (Westwood) in Thompson. We became friends right from the first day of school. Georgy Girl by the Seekers was the hit song that year and it was her song! We (friends Cheryl Slack, Nancy Allen, Kim Valentino & Pam Shortland and me) used to sing it to her all the time. We had so much fun then. After 1972 we kept in touch sporadically over the years, as good friends do - always picked up where we left off. Sure will miss our visits and phone conversations. Thinking of Georgina and remembering all of you, Christopher, Jeannie, Raymond (Squeegee), Loretta, Joyce, Frank and your parents with love - Susan - Posted by: Susan Harrison (Friend) on: Aug 01, 2017
