LINDA JEAN FRADETTE (nee SINCLAIR) May 18, 1947 - August 6, 2017 Following a lengthy illness, Linda died peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital on Sunday, August 6, 2017. She was predeceased by her father and mother, Tom and Edith Sinclair, her sister Mary-Lou, brother-in-law Arnold and niece Karen Hoyseth, and her sister-in-law Frieda Sinclair. Linda is survived by her husband of 46 years, Julien, children, Jean-Paul (Marcy) of Winnipeg and Katherine (Patrick) Sunderland, as well as grandchildren, Luke and Maya of Vancouver, her brothers, Keith (Dorothy) of Winnipeg and Bob of Coquitlam, BC, nieces and nephews. Linda was born and raised in Neepawa, MB. She pursued a career in lab and x-ray technology, working in Russell, MB where she met Julien. They then moved to St. Adolphe, MB and subsequently to Winnipeg where they lived since 1996. Linda excelled in her work but always said that her most important accomplishment in life was being a mother and grandmother, loving them all "from the bottom of my heart." Linda was an avid reader who also enjoyed and excelled at knitting, and volunteered at Manitoba Theatre Centre. Thank you to the staff at CancerCare Manitoba who cared for Linda these past two years. In addition, the family is also grateful to the many physicians and the medical staff at the Health Sciences Centre and St. Boniface Hospital. Linda's last two weeks were graceful and peaceful because of the kindness, compassion and professionalism provided by the palliative care team at St. Boniface Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Linda's memory, to CancerCare Manitoba; 1160-675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or online at cancercarefdn.mb.ca. A private gathering for family and close friends will be held to celebrate Linda's life.
