Norbert was my commanding officer when I served with 1 RCHA in Germany. At that time I was a young gunner. Many years later Norbert and Mirella became members of a Gunner Officers Association in Winnipeg. It was a small club that met once a year on St. Barbers Days. Both he and Mirella were a truly outstanding couple. Sophisticated, caring, compassionate and understanding, they brought these tributes to the club, and we all benefited from it. Both he and Mirella were quiet, but very much in love with each other. They made important contributions to their church and community. May they continue to rest at peace with the Lord.
