JAMES (JIM) ALLEN PRINCE May 10, 1945 - August 12, 2017 In Loving Memory After a lengthy battle with diabetes and congestive heart failure, with his loving family by his side, Jim passed away. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Olive and Bill Prince, his brothers, Thomas (Eddie) and Terry. His mother and father-in-law, Pearl and John Desjarlais, niece Lorretta Prince, great-nephew Alfred Prince and great-niece Christine Dumas. Jim leaves to mourn his loving wife Karen, his daughters, Buffy, Cindy, and Donna (Marsh), his grandchildren, Quinton (Nicole) Prince, Kyle (Shyloh) Prinson, Marissa Prince, Matthew McCorrister, Brittany McCorrister, Ashton McCorrister and Presley McCorrister, his great-grandchildren, Anika, Lainey, Zoey, Ainsley, and Kyle (Zander), and his beloved companion Porky. Jim also leaves behind several cousins, brother and sisters-in-law, nephew and nieces. James (Jim) was born in Selkirk, Manitoba and raised in Brokenhead. He enjoyed his life, loved working around the house, hunting and fishing. Jim also had a passion to play golf, watch hockey and his Jason Bourne movies. Jim also loved seeing and being around his grandchildren, nephew and nieces, whom he was proud of. Jim had an infectious smile and laugh. He had a very caring, compassionate and generous attitude. He was a devoted husband, father, uncle and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He will never be forgotten. The family would like to thank all the visitors and prayers sent to Jim (Dad). Big thanks to the Health Sciences Centre and Selkirk General Hospital, Dr. Prematilake and the staff for their care and compassion. Wake Service on Friday, August 18, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Private Tom Chief Memorial Centre. Funeral service on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Springs New Life Church - Selkirk. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.
