Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySCOT A. ROBERTSON July 14, 1963 - August 13, 2017 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Scot A. Robertson, 54 years of age, from Sanford, Manitoba. He is survived by his soulmate and wife of 33 years, Gail, his courageous children: Amy, Tiffany and Rick, Kale and Athena, his beloved grandchildren, Bradley and Bodi, his treasured siblings: Derek (Kim), Corine (Gerald), Brent (Karen) and Lesley (Serge), in-laws, Greg (Deb) and their families, and his honoured mother Eileen. He also lives in the hearts of his many nieces, nephews, numerous relatives, colleagues and friends. He is predeceased by his father, Bradley. Born July 14, 1963 in Minnedosa, Manitoba, he spent an active childhood in Emerson where he played hockey and partook in drama. Later he moved to Cartwright, Dominion City, and eventually Brandon where he met Gail, learned to fly Cesnas, began his career as a computer technologist, and started a family. Together they moved to Winnipeg, then finally Sanford where they spent 18 happy years. Throughout most of his life, Scot found peace training his mind and body in the dojo with martial arts such as karate, judo, and boxing; later becoming a teacher of the art of karate himself; achieving the honour of second degree black belt under his beloved Sensei Dingman. A veracious learner with a tenacity for perseverance, he became versed in Japanese and woodwork, becoming a profound Luthier; building exquisite guitars for his family. Recently, Scot and Gail became a part of the Harley Davidson family, roaming Canada and the US any chance they could; to get away from it all together. Scot was a man of great strength and depth. His warm loving embrace was said to heal all wounds. He will be tremendously missed. Please join us 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Bardal Funeral Chapel in celebration of his vibrant life. Flowers graciously declined; we encourage you to make a donation to Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba in his honour. The family invites anyone who wishes to prepare a small speech or memory to share publicly at the end of the service. There will also be a memory box where your cherished experience of Scot can be recorded for the family. The service will conclude with a Last-Ride motorcycle procession, ending at his home in Sanford. Scot was the Father I never had and the Mentor I always needed. He took me off a listless life path and helped to give me direction. He made me feel safe, valued, protected. I cherish every lesson and moment with him and I am grateful for his loving, foundational inspiration and guidance in my life. I hope that I was able to affect his life with the same warmth and laughter that he provided mine. Wherever you are, Blessed Warrior, I salute you with all my heart! See you around in the next one Puba, thanks for everything. Forever, Athy - Posted by: Athena (Friend) on: Dec 31, 2022

I recall our time together on the Backup & Storage team fondly. Scot was a valued co-worker but more importantly a friend. All the best, during this difficult time, to Scot's family. May the world stop spinning for just one second today, in Scot's honor! He was one of the BEST! - Posted by: Dalene Phillips (Co-worker) on: Aug 19, 2017
