STELLA HORODECKI After a lengthy illness, it is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Stella Horodecki on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Grace Hospital, at the age of 98 years. Left to cherish Stella's memory are daughters, Arlene Jacoby and Georgina Bonwick; granddaughter, Darcie Bonwick; great-grandsons, Tristen and Nathen Foy; great-granddaughter, Nicole Foy, as well as sisters, Nettie, Jean and Rose; sister-in-law, Anne (Jacoby); numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by son-in-law, Clarence Bonwick; four brothers, Nicky, John, Mike and Lodge, and sister Anne (Raccio). Born in Winnipeg, Stella spent her younger years in Petersfield, moving to Winnipeg at age 15. She worked in the service industry for many years and was always busy spending many hours sewing quilts for members of her family. She also enjoyed embroidery, puzzles of all kinds and reading when she could. The greatest joy of her life was watching her great-grandchildren grow through the years. Stella was a kind, loving and generous person to all she met. She will be sadly missed and remembered for her wonderful spirit. On Tuesday, August 22, 2017, Stella was laid to rest in the Memorial Garden in Brookside Cemetery, Winnipeg, with her family in attendance.
