HERMANN KARL FRIEDRICH WULFF Hermann Karl Friedrich, the second of five children, was born to Hedwig and Walter Wulff on October 3, 1934 in Berlin, Germany. Hermann spent his youth at the farm, on his bicycle, in the pool and in the boxing ring. In August 1954, Hermann immigrated to Canada, settling in Manitoba where the vast space and great outdoors welcomed his love of nature, animals, and the water. At Clear Water Lake Hermann met Yvette (Delgado). Their courtship spanned the ocean, and they later married in Kent, England on December 30, 1965. Hermann and Yvette's dedication to service eventually led them to Norway House, where they settled and had their two daughters. As a Civil Engineer, Hermann was instrumental in community initiatives including the water treatment plant, Mayor and Council, and the School Committee. Always willing and eager to lend a helping hand, even without being asked, Hermann helped all in need. It was in Norway House that Hermann built the family their dream home overlooking the Nelson River on lush acreage that provided a playground for his daughters, and a property that he was proud of. Boating, swimming, and camping, were some of Hermann's favourite summer activities, especially alongside his friends. When unable to be outdoors, Hermann could be found playing the accordion or organ, or reading a great Louis L'amour novel. Retirement in the Gimli area never slowed Hermann down. He worked diligently in his garage, manicured his lawn, and spent endless time with his family. Hermann is survived by his wife Yvette, daughters Inga (Scott) and Gunda (Davinder), grandsons Kai and Rhys, and brother Walter. A very special and heart filled thank you to the staff of D4, B3 and the Department of Internal Medicine at Health Sciences Centre, especially Dr. K. Lamba, who always provided exceptional care for Hermann. In lieu of flowers, donations on Hermann's behalf can be made to Canadian Blood Services or the Winnipeg Humane Society.
