Condolences & Memories (9 entries)

  • Hey guys. I am so sorry to hear about David. Believe it or not, I had spoken to him on the phone for his coffee orders and didn't even know it was him. He didn't ever realize it was me either. Strange huh, and small world. It's been a few years since I've bumped into you Gina. You and Susan take care. - Posted by: Sheri McGowan (Kroeker) (Family) on: Oct 13, 2017

  • He was one of the good guys. I first met Dave when he came down from the stands, one race night, to pit for late model 44. Many weekends, he drove the ramp truck when we needed help getting to a track and in recent years, generally helped out whenever someone asked for it. He will be missed. - Posted by: Henry Scholz (friend ) on: Oct 03, 2017

  • I have known Dave for many years from the time he was pit crew for Ron Powers then Flagman at Winnipeg Speedway then the Shell Station/ Car Wash. We have been to many race tracks in the past years. He was a very big supporter of the River City Speedway in Grand Forks and always made donations to the drivers . Out there he was know as "Super Race fan Dave Brown" for his generosity. Dave will be missed by a lot of people who knew him. We will miss you Dave R.I.P. - Posted by: Barry Benzelock {Bunzy} (Race Buddy) on: Sep 18, 2017

  • BEST BOSS ever!!! Miss you my friend. - Posted by: Glynis (Great Friend.....awesome Boss.) on: Sep 14, 2017

  • Dave was a great friend. I first met him at the speedway in Winnipeg years ago. He would always call it the way he saw it and was never afraid to say what was on his mind. The last few years we would meet Dave at the Grand Forks track, for the John Seitz Memorial Weekend. Last friday he invited us up to his booth and myself, my wife, Darryl Heintz and Shane Shodine spent the evening with him. We had a great time, you will be missed Dave. - Posted by: Larry Niebel (Friend ) on: Sep 13, 2017

  • So sorry to hear. Met Dave at The track and became instant friends. Talked with him regularly at the car wash, and sadly am very shocked at this news. • Although we didn't see much of each other in recent years I considered Dave a friend & saw him Friday in Grand Forks and had a visit which I am particularly glad of now. We had lots of fun over the years going to races together & working at Winnipeg Speedway. It's a shame he is gone, he will be missed. Our deepest condolences to you all. - Posted by: Pat Mooney (Freind) on: Sep 13, 2017
