DOROTHY GRIME May 15, 1928- August 6, 2017 Dorothy passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on August 6, 2017 at the age of 89. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband David, and daughter Ellen. Left to cherish her memories are her son Larry, grandchildren: Dylan (Teresa), Laurel (John), Tyler (Carling), Ashton (Matthew), Hayley (Scott) and Owen, great-grandsons: Parker, Brody, and Harrison, and numerous family and friends. Both Dorothy and her husband David were active members and long time parishioners of St. Alban's Anglican Church. Dorothy worked for 30 plus years for Eatons, where she was loved by many. Dorothy lived the majority of her life in Fort Rouge. She was always smiling and ready for a chat with whoever she crossed paths with that day. She cherished her time with her grandchildren, who would always joke that they couldn't go anywhere with Grandma without running into someone she knew. Dorothy was a weekly volunteer at Riverview Health Centre prior to her stroke in 2008, at which time she became a resident. The family wishes to thank the staff at Riverview Health Centre 2 West for providing her with a kind and caring home for the past nine years. A celebration of Dorothy's life will take place on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at St. Paul's Anglican Church at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. "Live each day with encouragement knowing that they are proud and smiling down on you from Heaven".
