Date of Passing: Aug 30, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAUDREY CHRISTINA YENDRYS It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Audrey Christina Yendrys (nee McKenzie) on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Stanley Yendrys and Earl McCoomb. Left to cherish her memory are her brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald (Shirley), John (Gwen,) and her late sister Darlene (Paddy). Loving mother and mother-in-law of Leonard (Viky), Wayne, Shawna (Gerry), Cindy and Cheryl. Grandmother of Cory, Vicki-Lee, Sean and Wesley. Audrey will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and close friends. Although Audrey was born in Baldur, Manitoba she made Penticton, BC her home for the last 40 years. Audrey was an amazing woman who was creative and talented. She was truly dedicated to her arts and crafts from painting, drawing, knitting, sewing, ceramics, and everything in between. Audrey loved volunteering much of her time assisting her community and coming to the aid of those in need. She loved her family, loved to chat, and really enjoyed teaching crafts to children and seniors. Of course, Audrey never considered herself a senior. Audrey was a real fighter, no challenge or illness would get her down. We thank the wonderful, caring doctors, nurses and staff at the Penticton Regional Healthcare services, Penticton Hospital and the Westview Place. A celebration of Audrey's life will take place in Penticton at a later date. Audrey's family and friends may share a funny story or a special memory on her Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/audrey.yendrys As Audrey adored animals, in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Audrey may be made to the BCSPCA in South Okanagan: http://spca.bc.ca/locations/ south-okanagan-similkameen/

So sorry to hear of your loss. Audrey used to call on a regular basis and it was always nice to hear from her. She had a connection with Debbie that I never understood but was always appreciative of the fact that she made time for her and kept in touch. Although not the reason for her call we had many pleasant conversations when Deb was not available. I missed her calls after Debbie passed and I'm sad to hear that she is now gone. Hopefully they will be together in heaven. They can now talk about us till their hearts content. Condolences to your family, thinking of you, in your time of loss. All the best, Brett and family. - Posted by: Brett Armstrong (Family friend) on: Sep 17, 2017
