Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSITA MOHR (nee SANTANGELO) September 12, 1951 - September 14, 2017 It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Rosita Mohr, affectionately known as "Mama Rosie". Predeceased by her parents, Carmelo and Maria Santangelo, and her granddaughter Britny Berendt. Mom is survived by her loving husband George, children Tina, Cheyenne (Rhonda), DJ (Brandi), Vanessa, Brendan (Kristy) and Graeme; grandchildren, Brady, Caine, Kayla, Dylan and Dyson, her first husband, Dennis, her brothers Sam, Raz (Susan), Frank (Sherrie) and Ernie, and many nieces and nephews. Mom was born in Liege, Belgium and moved to Canada in the late 1950s with her parents and brothers, growing up in the North End of Winnipeg. From an early age, Mom realized her talent for cooking and always worked in the restaurant industry, running the cafeteria at Versatile for many years and then her own restaurant "Mama Rosie's" at the Pandora Hotel for 17 years. Through all of this Mom made many friends and maintained life-long relationships with her co-workers and customers. Above all else, Mom was devoted to her family, she loved spending time with her children, especially her grandchildren. Her favourite times were family gatherings around the holidays and for birthdays. Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Wheeler Funeral Home, Cemetery and Crematorium, 1800 Day St,, Winnipeg, MB 204-224-1525.

I first met Rosie when our daughter was getting married. She prepared the most delicious dinner for the wedding. There was enough food there for twice as many people. She was a friendly, outgoing person, who will be missed. So sorry Rhonda and family. - Posted by: Gladys Bugera (Acquaintance) on: Sep 17, 2017
