JANVIER MAURICE FONTAINE Born September 20, 1931 Deceased September 16, 2017 Janvier Maurice Fontaine was known by his middle name by all who knew him. After a long battle with cancer, he peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017. He will be sadly missed by his surviving siblings, Stanford Fontaine (Lillian), Agnes Berthelette (nee Fontaine), Rose Dehima Guimond (late Norbert Guimond), his Aunt Freda Bear, his biological children, Nina Fontaine, Cynthia Bunn (Rod), Ingrid Fontaine, Marissa Fontaine, the children he raised as his own, Erica (Boss) Twoheart, Robin Courchene (Dinelle), John Twoheart, and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He was a father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great- grandfather, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. Pallbearers: Jamie Fontaine-Ellis (grandson), Earl Fontaine (nephew), Stephen Bruyere (grandson), Michael Guimond (nephew), Ruben Bunn (grandson), Garry Courchene (Mick) (nephew). Wake services held at Mrs. Cynthia Bunn residence, house #156, North Shore of the Sagkeeng First Nation community, commencing Monday, September 18, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. to Wednesday, September 20, 2017.
