Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERALDINE (GERI) AGATHA WALKER Geri, aged 85 years of Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 14, 2017, with family by her side. She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Johannah (Hanna) Smith; sisters, Julie Barnes, Giovanna (Giv) Reidy, brother, Matthew Smith, and granddaughter Shannon Walker. Geri will be lovingly remembered by family: Dawn (Michael) Romanowich, Ron Walker (Kim Latour) and their children Stephanie and Christian, Jill (Edward) Ostanski and their son Adam, Carolyn Szun and her children Andrew and Jessica; sister, Agnes Reilander; brother, Jerome Smith, and numerous nieces and nephews. Geri enjoyed her time with her family and adored her grandchildren. Time was spent doing puzzles with her grandchildren or cheering them on in a variety of sporting activities, baking pies and spending time at the farm in Dugald, Manitoba. Geri loved to garden, enjoyed golfing, curling and was an avid bridge player. As an active member of the Progressive Conservative party, she volunteered to canvas and come Election Day, she directed people to the advanced polling stations. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 25, 2017 in Saint John Brebeuf, 1707 John Brebeuf Place, Winnipeg, Father Wayne Morrissey will be the presiding celebrant and a private family interment will take place in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Geri's name may be made to: The Arthritis Society. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550

We're so sorry for the loss of your dear mom. Geri was a lovely table mate for our Mum, Ann Steadman, at the Convalescent Home these past few years. Geri was one of the most stabling influence we had in the school. She was like our mother . We all loved her and have thought of her many times over the years. She was such a wonderful loving person as I'm sure her children will attest. We are so sorry for your loss .
