Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJANE GILLIES January 6, 1926 - September 14, 2017 On Thursday, September 14, 2017 Jane Gillies passed away peacefully at the age of 91. Jane was predeceased by her husband David and is survived by daughters Evelyn (Mike) and Angie; cherished grandsons Scott, Jeffrey and Sean (Lori), and her favourite niece Helen. We are forever grateful for her unconditional love, strength, wisdom. Jane was born in Mielec, Poland. She came to Canada and made her first home in Montreal. While visiting in Red Lake, Ontario Jane met and married the love of her life, Dave and it was where they had two daughters. The family moved to Winnipeg where they raised their family. Jane loved music, flowers and gardening. As per Mom's request our family gathered at a private memorial service Thursday, September 21 to say goodbye. Interment was at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Avenue. Please remember her with love and the good times you've shared. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff of River East Personal Care Home for their compassionate care of Jane and the staff at Chapel Lawn.
