NICHOLAS (NICK) REBIZANT Nicholas Rebizant passed away peacefully September 17, 2017 at St. Boniface Hospital, at 92 years of age. He is survived by his four children, Wanda (Gordon), Eugene (Barbara), Theresa (Zelko) and Carol (Craig); his six grandchildren, Kris (Genevieve), Jennifer (Chad), Melissa (Nick), Jessica (Gord), Nicole and Evan, along with 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his last remaining sibling in Poland, John Rebizant. He is predeceased by Jean, his wife of 52 years, and daughter-in-law Sylvia. Nick was born April 30, 1925, in Rebizanty, Poland, and was the youngest of nine children. Nick and Jean immigrated to Canada in 1961 with their two children, sponsored by his sister and brother-in-law, Christine and Nick Klimchuk, of Tyndall, MB. He worked at Garson Quarry and managed to provide a home for his family in Garson, MB, with the addition of two more children born in Canada. Nick later moved with his family to Transcona and worked until his retirement in 1986 at Flyer Industries. Nick was a hard- working, generous, honest man that lived a blessed life. He found great joy spending time at his cottage he built at the age of 70, in Leisure Falls. He was still actively bowling at Mosienko Lanes until this year, and he was happy to brag about his scores and strikes! Dad loved his family and enjoyed every celebration and family gathering with his children and grandchildren. We will miss you so very much and we thank you for being a loving caring father to us all. You worked so hard your entire 92 years to provide for us all. As dad would always say, 'God gives us what we need'. Thank you to St. Boniface Palliative staff for the respectful care and comfort you provided. Thank you to Father Walter Klimchuk for attending to him at his time of need, and especially to his beloved companion Arlene for her friendship and love. Mass will be Monday, September 25, 2017 at St. Joseph the Worker, officiated by Father Isaie Blanchette, viewing at 9:30 a.m., Catholic Mass to begin 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Transcona Cemetery.
