Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGRANT RUSSELL REEVE June 15, 1934 September 17, 2017 After a lengthy battle with Parkinsons, Grant peacefully passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017, at the age of 83 years. He faced his illness with humour and courage until the end. Left to mourn Grant's passing are his four daughters, Sandy (Gord), Cathy, Linda (John) and Carole (Glenn); grandchildren, Kim (Kyl), Kate, Jess (Blair) and Donnie; great-grandson Blake; sister Kathy (Tom); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Ruth; parents, Russ and Jean; sister Lynne and brother Bill. Grant was born in Owen Sound, Ontario and the family later moved to Oshawa. He enjoyed many summers at Sauble Beach, he spun records at the Jubilee Pavillion and had a short career as an embalmer before starting his long career with General Motors. Grant transferred to Brandon, then to Winnipeg in 1964, where he became a proud member of the Rita Street Social Club. Dad was known for his sense of humour, the "Oshawa Stomp" and his exceptional memory for names and numbers. Dad, we thank you for introducing us to bacon bunnies and fat man's delights! In compliance with dad's wishes, there will be no service. Thank you to all the staff at Golden West Centennial Lodge who knew and cared for our dad and for having the patience for all of his shenanigans - good and bad! Also, a special thanks to Ernie for keeping music in dad's life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinsons Society Manitoba Wojcik's Funeral Chapels & Crematoriums, Winnipeg, 2157 Portage Avenue, 204.897.4665 www.wojciksfuneralchapel.com

What a gentleman and a friend that made life worthwhile. Working and playing with Grant for many years was a pleasure. He faced challenges the last few years and is now some place pain-free. Hope to meet him again wherever we go. - Posted by: Court Brooker (Friend and workmate.) on: Sep 25, 2017

My relationship with Grant goes back many, many years through General Motors. Grant had many talents, but one that I will always remember was his sense of humour. I always said to Grant that if he ever left GM he could be a stand up comedian. His timing in telling jokes and stories was uncanny and his overall humour infectious. Unfortunately we didn't keep in touch over the years but he will always be remembered. My heartfelt sympathies to all his family. Mel Finlayson - Posted by: Mel Finlayson (Friend) on: Sep 23, 2017
