Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET ELEANOR STEWART (nee FOSTER) September 4, 1930 - September 14, 2017 Peacefully, shortly after her 87th birthday, Margaret Eleanor Stewart passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband, George Kenneth Stewart, parents George and Pearl Foster, brother George Stewart Foster, and sister Gwendolyn Benger. She is survived by daughter, Donna Ferguson (David), granddaughter Liz Ferguson, granddaughter Victoria Ferguson, and great-grandson Alexander Ferguson. Eleanor grew up on Lincoln Avenue in Weston, and attended Cecil Rhodes School and Daniel McIntyre Collegiate. With the love of her life, Ken, whom she married in 1953, Eleanor lived in Ft. Garry and then later in St. Vital. After working at Eaton's in various departments and Winnipeg Supply, Eleanor dedicated her life to looking after her family. The family home on Marshall Crescent was her pride and joy. She hosted many dinners for family and friends, bridge nights for her bridge clubs and coffee dates with the neighbourhood ladies, all whose friendships she treasured. Eleanor's last two years were spent at the Thorvaldson Care Centre on Stradbrook Avenue where she thoroughly enjoyed her remaining time with her new friends, both the residents and the staff. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and her ashes will be scattered in Lake Winnipeg next summer at a family gathering in Winnipeg Beach.

Auntie Eleanor, and uncle Ken were fantastic relatives. I have fond memories of family dinners and Family functions, the back yard swimming pool, and the dogs (Finegan and Chico). - Posted by: George Benger (Nephew ) on: Apr 09, 2019

My heart goes out to the Ferguson and Foster families. Aunt Eleanor was kind and loving. I have such fond memories of spending my childhood summers in Crystal City and at Rock Lake; the Stewarts with the Stewarts. - Posted by: Marie Stewart (Niece ) on: Sep 25, 2017
