She spent the past six months enjoying retirement with her family, friends and horses. Memorial service will be held on Friday, September 29 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. at Henderson Highway. www.voyagefuneralhomes.com

Charlotte was a wonderful woman. When I met her and we became friends she was just coming around from a disaster. Charlotte, Cora, Rachel and I spent many hours at the lake when the girls were young. I took them camping, thinking that everyone knew how, to my surprise neither my husband nor Char had camped at that point. We were in Hecla and even experienced a bear outside the tent. That didn't stop her from coming out again on a fishing trip. The places we went around the area... memories I will never forget. I hadn't been in touch with her as much in recent years but she was so proud of her children and grandchildren.
