WILLIAM (BILL) TROWELL August 31, 1928 - September 23, 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce that Bill suddenly passed away peacefully at Concordia Hospital, with his family at his side. Left to cherish his memory: his wife of 30 years, Evelyn, his children, Tammy (Mike), Will (Debbie), Lori, Brian (Cathy), Brenda (John) and Brad (Sherri), 12 grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. He was predeceased by his first wife, Bea, his brother, Jim, and sister, Marion. Bill was born and raised in Saltcoats, Saskatchewan and came to Winnipeg as a young man. He met and married Bea and together they raised three children. Bill was a mechanic for the City of Winnipeg until his retirement in 1988. Bill enjoyed fishing, camping, curling, dancing, cards, and taking chances at many Casinos, and most of all time with family and friends. Helping others was second nature. He married Evelyn in 1985. When he retired they became Winter Texans in Pine to Palm, Weslaco, for many years. He and Evelyn moved to Penticton in 2006 and recently moved back home to be with their families. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Royal Manitoba Yacht Club, 90 Kenabeek Street, West St. Paul. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. Thanks to the staff of Concordia Hospital for the care we received.
