Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHIRLEY HELEN ROBINSON It was with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley Helen Robinson on Friday, September 22, 2017 at Grace Hospital in Winnipeg. Shirley was born on Mach 18, 1930 in Winnipeg. She spent her childhood years in Miami area before moved to Winnipeg in her early teens and attending Daniel McIntyre. The family began attending Calvary Temple. Soon after, Shirley accepted the Lord as her personal Saviour and became involved in the church's youth programs and sang in the choir, Gospel Fireside Hour and the Ladies Chorus. After her retirement, she continued her involvement in church ministries including Wee College, Ladies Bible Study, Small Group and volunteering with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association's Telephone Centre. Shirley began her career working at Eaton's Catalogue Department. She later found employment at the Canadian Wheat Board working as a clerk and retired as the executive secretary for the chief commissioner in 1992. Shirley was predeceased by her parents, John and Susie Robinson. She leaves to mourn cousins, Mabel (Tom, deceased) Nostedt, Lyn (Garnet, deceased) Wray, Barbara (Bill, deceased) McLeod, Hannah (Jimmy, deceased) Milne and Allan (Shirley) MacFarlane; numerous second cousins; as well as her very good friend, Alma Huang. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Buntain Chapel, Calvary Temple, 400 Hargrave Street, Winnipeg. Interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg.
