ANGELINE POPE Peacefully, with loved ones by her side, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017 after a brief illness. Angeline's memory will be forever cherished by her daughter Susan (Dennis), grandchildren Candice (Kurtis) and Scott; daughter Jacqueline (Michael), grandchildren Kate (Nick) and Robert; son Gordon (Pam), grandchildren Jordan, Alyssa and Braeden; great-grandchildren Lauren and Mia; also, sisters Bette and Susan (Tony); sisters-in-law Doris and Margaret; all residing in the United Kingdom, as well as many nieces, nephews and good friends. Angeline was predeceased by her husband and soulmate Joe; parents John and Susan; brother Bobbie; and brothers-in-law John, Joe and Jack. Angeline was born May 13, 1938 in Ayrshire, Scotland and immigrated to Canada with her husband and young family in 1967. In August of this year we celebrated 50 years in Canada. Mom trained as a Registered Nurse at Ballochmyle Hospital in Scotland. In Canada she worked in several doctor's offices and finally at CancerCare Manitoba. Angeline's passion was sewing and crafting. Her creations were sold at The Forks under the name Bonnie Doon Crafts for many years. She spent many happy years at the family cottage at Fox Lake, Ontario with Dad, family and friends. Mom taught us all the meaning of family. She was there for anyone who needed her. We will miss her quick wit and great sense of humour. Her greatest joy was having her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren around her. She was fiercely independent and took great pleasure in looking after her home and garden. In compliance with Mom's wishes cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held. The family would like to thank the staff on 3 West at Concordia Hospital and Palliative Care, especially nurse Richard. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba in Mom's name. Your wings were ready but our hearts were not. Rest in peace.
