BERNIE PENNER March 13, 1942 - September 29, 2017 Bernie Penner was born to Bernhard and Agatha (nee Bergen) Penner on March 13, 1942, and passed away September 29, 2017, after a short but fiercely fought battle with cancer. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Helena, of 51 years, four sons, Ken, Bruce, Scott and Steve, three daughters, Carey, Tracy and Jan and their families. He also leaves one brother John and his family, as well as his sister's family. He was predeceased by one son Terry, and his sister and brother-in-law John and Mary Guenter. Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Evangelical Mennonite Mission Church, Altona, Manitoba (158 2nd Street NE). Viewing will be at Wiebe Funeral Home, Altona on Thursday, October 5 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and at the church prior to the service.
