Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDON FLYNN September 23, 1936 - October 6, 2017 Peacefully, after a valiant battle, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Don Flynn, on October 6, 2017. He will be missed by his beloved wife, Iris, of 60 happy years, his daughters, Debbie Stewart, Judy Edmondson, Patti Johnson (Mike), his son, Doug Flynn (Ally), his 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, his sister Norah and sister-in-law Phyllis. Don was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Edwin and Norm, and grandson Doug. Don was the founder of Flynn Group of Companies and he took great pleasure in watching the company grow after his retirement in 1991. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. The service will be located at Calvary Temple, 400 Hargrave Street, Winnipeg, with Pastor Bruce Martin officiating. A private internment is to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Don Flynn's memory to the Flynn Family Chair in Renal Transplant at the University of Manitoba. Cheques made payable to the University of Manitoba. Envelopes will also be available at the Celebration Service. Don will be greatly missed but we have the assurance that one day we will all be together again, with our Lord, Jesus Christ.
