DOUG SCOTT Our dear uncle passed away at his home in Edmonton, Alberta, on September 27, 2017, at the age of 69 years. He was a proud highway trucker most of his life, driving all over Canada and the United States. He always had a joke to tell and would sing an Elvis song for you. "We'll miss you Uncle." Love, your nieces and nephews.

Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Thank you for sharing your stories of my Dad! I miss him more than I could ever say! He was the best Dad and he was one of my best friends! We had so much fun together, and laughed our hearts out... sometimes getting into trouble from Mom LOL. Thank you for bringing so much love and laughter into my life Dad... I couldn't have done any of this with out you, your support, and your guidance! I LOVE YOU! - Posted by: Tracy Charles (Daughter) on: Nov 20, 2017

  • We often take for granted thinking that the ones we love will always be there. That's not entirely true. Take every opportunity to tell your loved ones how much they really mean to you because the opportunity can be taken at any moment. I wish I had one more chance to hug you and thank you for loving my mom unconditionally and always being there for her, and for being my dad. You will never be forgotten, and you'll always be in my heart. Love Always, Carrie xoxoxo - Posted by: Carrie Wallman (Daughter) on: Oct 16, 2017

  • I am so so sorry that I gave up looking for my cousin Doug before he passed. When I was in high school, he was my life line, always my friend, carrying my books for me for months when I had surgery and was in a cast. When my husband and I moved to Vancouver Island, he always stopped in enroute in his job as a truck driver and we so much enjoyed his visits. I loved him as a brother, prayed for him in his struggles and always looked forward to seeing him and laughing with him. Then a relative said a harsh word to him on my phone one day and he never called again, and my heart was broken. I searched for him, asked other relatives if they knew where he was, couldn't find his name online anywhere and finally gave up. I so longed to see him again. Today my Aunt Ailene called to say someone had called to inform her of his passing and I am overwhelmed with tears of regret and deep loss. Rest in peace Dougie, love you so much. I don't know how to reach his family, but my love and prayers for peace are with you all. I hope someone in the family sees this. - Posted by: Marion Scott (Cousin) on: Oct 16, 2017

  • My best memories are when I stayed with you in Calgary for a couple of years and enjoyed the fun and laughs we had. You and I travelled through the mountains to Vancouver Island in that big rig of yours. Non stop singing and laughter!!....I'll miss you Uncle. - Posted by: Don Scott (nephew) on: Oct 14, 2017
