KASMER DZIEDZIC January 1, 1924 - October 10, 2017 Peacefully our kind and gentle Father and Gido passed away at 93 years of age. Predeceased by his wife Marie, after only 66 days apart they are together again. Left to cherish his memory sons, Jim (Adele), Paul (Bev); daughter Susan (Troy); grandchildren, Tammy (Stephen), Scott, Melissa (Brandon), Chris (Mel), Kate-Lynn (Miles), Taylor; and great-grandchildren Jordan (Lia), Tomiko, Talia, Noah, Isabella, Penelope, Lauren and Eric. Kas was born in Inwood, Manitoba and had 22 brothers and sisters. He learned to knit and cook at a very young age having such a large family. Kas was a dedicated transit driver for many years. After retirement he enjoyed travelling and working in his beautiful flower and vegetable garden. He loved to cook and entertain friends and family. He was a longtime member of St. John's Church. Special thanks to Tom and Carol for their ongoing support and visits and to the staff at the Charleswood Care Home for the love and compassion given to dad and our family over the last year. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's or Parkinson's Society. Parastas Funeral Service will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church at 390 Marion Street on Tuesday, October 17, at 10:00 a.m. Luncheon to follow in Church hall and interment at Green Acres Cemetery.
